A virtual experience to image what it's like to have Artificial Intelligent friend. One who knows you, and knows what you want.
Visual References
Inspired by the television series, Severance, I wanted to create an experience where someone can go into to dissociate from the current world. Similarly, from the film Her, I wanted to utilize the idea of having a AI companion that knows you on a personal level.




Unity Build
The images below are the screenshots of the world I built using Unity.
The top two images simulates a waiting room, where the participant waits for the wellness room to be ready. As the user walks around and looks at the artifacts, for example the painting, the AI friend will talk to you.
As the user walks towards the end of the hallway, it'll be transported to the waiting room (bottom 2 images) where the wellness session starts. The background constitutes of different 360 videos (different each session), to simulate an environment of calm and peace.




Setting up Virtual Production
Preparing the files in the volume were a challenge due to some difficulties. There are major differences in the way it looked on Unreal Engine compared to the volume so live adjustments needed to be made. And the project became too heavy with assets, and it needed to be optimized for production (some were also removed).
